Areas of Ministry

International Friendship Partners
To Welcome International Military Students and help connect them with local families as “Friendship Partners.” We do this by partnering with the IMSO at Ft. Benning and their Host Family Sponsor Program. Each year we connect with over 120 students from around 50 countries who come here for training. Students get to know local Americans and experience America in an authentic, relational way. Friendship Partners are able to learn about the student’s countries and cultures. The outcome is long-term change in the lives of students and sponsors. As they share in life together, the love of Christ is experienced. Both begin to see the world in a new way and live life more fully. Call 706-653-0097 or email office@ifmga.org to learn how to become a Friendship Partner.
English as Second Language
We offer 3 levels of ESL Instruction and Citizenship Classes. Each year we serve over 200 international friends through this program. We are currently offering in-person and online classes. All classes are free of change. Call 706-653-0097 to register, or fill out the interest form here.

Family Ministries
Each Fall & Spring IFM plans a weekend away for international families. The weekend includes activities for the children, youth and adults. Special music and inspirational testimonies are a part of the weekend for the adults. Many have said that the IFM Retreats were the most meaningful experiences they had while in the United States. Many additional events and outings are planned throughout the year. Cookouts, birthday parties, movies and celebrations, etc. We also have activities for international children and teens including Summer Camps!
Men's Ministry
Men meet on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. for teaching, small group discussion, prayer and fellowship. We are discovering together what it looks like to follow Jesus in every day life. To be apart of men's group email ron@ifmga.org or call 706-464-8721.
Ladies' Ministry
By God's grace, we have the privilege to welcome more than 50 International Women each year since 1977 Our goal is to provide a "Home away from Home", with opportunities for spiritual growth and the development of lifetime friendships, as we help them to adjust to the American way of life. Many ladies have shared, how this experience has been life changing for them.
During the school year, we meet online and in person for a weekly Coffee & Bible Study.
The ladies enjoy finger foods and great fellowship during these meetings at the International Friendship Center or a hosting home.
They also enjoy taking short trips to local places and making different crafts of interest for everyone. Strawberry picking and shopping are some of the favorites.
If you'd like to join, contact us at 706-653-0097 or office@ifmga.org.
Arts Academy
Students learn basic skills in drawing and painting, color mixing of primary and secondary colors, creating values and shading, and fundamental elements of design and composition. These classes establish a good beginning foundation for those students who want to learn to better draw and paint. We also provide classes in music, drama, dance and reach international youth through outreach and discipleship. If you'd like more information, contact us at 706-653-0097 or office@ifmga.org.
The Chalet
The chalet was donated to IFM by a generous partner. It's our desire for it to provide a place of rest and renewal for our friends. This lovely 3-bedroom chalet is located in the Pine Mountain Club Chalets Resort, a 65-acre property less than one hour from Atlanta in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The property has a 12-acre fishing pond, playground, seasonal salt water swimming pool, tennis courts, sand volleyball, basketball court, 9 hole putt putt course and wilderness are with walking trails.
